Re: SR22 IFR Training
One final update...SimAvio as a stand-alone product is no longer offered. You either buy the simulator from Flythissim or look elsewhere.

Re: SR22 IFR Training
From the Original Poster - Just wanted to come back and repost here...I bought Flythissim. Since then, I passed my written...and then used the I1 - I11 lessons on Pilotedge.net to learn IFR. My instructors have been amazed by my progress in my Cirrus SR22, and I attribute that not to me, but to Pilo...

Re: SR22 IFR Training
Thanks so much for the time you're spending on this Keith. You make me feel a bit guilty! My goal is to practice Avidyne if possible. As you probably know, Cirrus has 2 430''s and Avidyne MFD / PFD. I'm starting to think the only way to do this right is flythissim (configuring my own avio is just no...

Re: SR22 IFR Training
biecholz, Good idea, check out the COPA forums for a used FTS TouchTrainer. But you also could put together an X-plane setup and just buy the SimAvio Pro software if you're inclined. I fly a Cirrus also, and used SimAvio during my instrument training. Can't give a high enough recommendation to get ...

Re: SR22 IFR Training
Checked out Simavio...I could probably figure it all out, but it costs $2K without sim software and hardware. Seems like there are two bad alternatives if I want a sim of my real plane: 1) Flythissim package ($5.5K...wow), 2) My awful FS2004 XP with Eaglesoft SR22. Perhaps the best approach to IFR i...

Re: SR22 IFR Training

SR22 IFR Training
I am a Cirrus SR22 owner who is gearing up for IFR Training. I want to work through all the PilotEdge IFR courses. I have an old unsupported version of FS2004 running Eaglesoft SR22 plug-in on XP (not supported). It's actually all works well...even the Foreflight interface. However, I'm concerned th...
