Re: Transponder not synching in P3D (v4)?

I haven't looked at P3D v4's SDK to see if this has changed, but the issue with prior versions of FSX/P3D is that the ident button doesn't map to an official event in the sim therefore and doesn't pass the ident button press to Simconnect for pilotedge to read. There are Lua scripts that can be made...

Re: ODPs

I've been given the 30 DP out of KWHP several times, although I'm usually vectored off the DP approaching 4500' rather than flying the entire thing.

Re: KCRQ DME

Yeah, I had to edit the airport in Airport Design Editor to enable DME. There may be other tools out there that can do it, but I'm not sure. I haven't checked since installing ORBX SoCal. Maybe they updated it with the recent release, but I'm pretty sure even their freeware KCRQ was still missing th...

Re: 737-200 Level D sim for the public!

Hmmmm, I think I know what I want for Christmas. Oh how I have resisted the airliner thing in sim...this gives an excuse to finally get serious learning the FlyJSim 732.

Re: IFR Aircraft Advice

Perfectly stated, Eugene. Hand flying is a fun challenge under the right circumstances. For all the reasons Eugene pointed out, hand flying can really give your instrument scan a workout, especially in IMC. That's fine if you are trying to build your instrument scan. If you are learning the system a...

Re: Prepar3D v3 Being Released

If you'd like to trick the current installer (which supports P3D v2) into thinking that P3D v3 is actually V2, try this: - Rename the registry key for P3D (Software\Lockheed Martin\...) from having 'v3' in the name to 'v2'. - Rename P3D folder in the %APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin folder to have 'v2' in...

Re: Prepar3D v3 Being Released

Jon, yeah I already had it installed for V2.5. I just copied over the squawkbox and vip model set folders from the v2.5 simobjects folder to v3. It all just worked.

Re: Prepar3D v3 Being Released

I used V3 for the birthday bash Friday night. Performed beautifully. Unfortunately some of my add-ons did not appreciate side by side installs of V2.x and V3 so I wiped both over the weekend and clean installed V3 only. Fortunately the PE DTs haven't started yet
