Re: Randomisation of the Ratings
I see the logic behind your point, but quite frankly, I couldn't disagree more. One of the great things PilotEdge is useful for is bridging a divide that would exist in real life. If you change what is already a moderately challenging task into a extraordinarily challenging task, you then risk shutt...

Re: [Aug 28 7-10pm PDT] Aspen fly-in!
Only one delay vector was issued on Denver center, but Harold was working Aspen Approach, he'll have more insight as to what happened at that level. May have been me, if it was a 20 or 40 degree turn to the left for 5 minutes than direct DBL for SWA1097. If so, that seems pretty minor in the grand ...

That was certainly a blast. A business of the environment coupled with the challenging approach certainly kept me on edge. We're delay vectors more common yesterday rather than holds?

Re: Pilotedge with Foreflight
The most basic subscription will get you traffic. More than likely it is an issue with your PilotEdge configuration ForeFlight won't allow you the option to enable traffic if there is nothing feeding it data (I.E., ADSB receiver, or PilotEdge config).

Re: How to handle ground ops at a class B
I've done this once before at DAL, albeit it was after 10pm when the airport seems to all but shut down for noise abatement measures. We called up approach and asked for a a full-stop and taxi back to the runway. Without any hassle they vectored us in for 13L. After exiting the runway, we were instr...

Re: X-Plane Street Light Enhancement (no frame drop)
I do wish I could dim the tweak down about 20% but it's still more realistic to what is actually there in reality. Also, I can't really run cars. Too much AG. I agree, if we are talking about a densely populated urban area, the left looks way more realistic. Now if we could just find a way to show ...

Re: Lost comms: apologies for the inconvenience
If it were VFR I would have 7600 and shot a visual approach. If you were VFR, you should not do that. VFR with bad radios should just land at an uncontrolled airport. You certainly don't want to fly to a Bravo airport without radios if you're VFR. Is that preferred on PilotEdge? I can see that maki...

Caught the tail-end of that last night, nice work. But one question, do you consider that fun? I usually find the simulator more enjoyable when I don't have to shower afterwards.

Re: Interesting Class D Airspace in Oregon
Further reading indicates that 7S9 airport requested that the FAA raise the shelf to 1300' as opposed to 1200'. The FAA said they could not as a result of the instrument approach that exists to UAO. This might make sense. On the RNAV RWY 35 approach, the FAF at CIGRU is 1700'. That leaves 500' of pr...
