Re: IFR Depature Question - L35

However, if you are flying part 91 you DO NOT have to fly the published departure or ODP if it is not a part of your clearance. You do have to adhere to takeoff minimums though. So no matter what route you decide to take to your first fix you need to climb at 282' per NM to 8000 ft. Which isn't real...

Re: AeroFly FS 2

I loaded up a baron at my home airport. with crap minimums. Mixture didn't work, prop levers didn't work. However, I was able to make out the instruments and tuning the radios is very easy. I took off into the soup and flew a memorized approach back into the airport. All I can say is WOW, although t...

Re: don't mean to complain but...

Keith, I'm the furthest possible place from "giving up". Every time I have ever had any issue I feel like I can address it without (at least I think) upsetting anyone. What you are trying to accomplish through the program ANDthat you listen with open ears (eyes) is reason alone why I am go...

don't mean to complain but...

last three flights- 15+ minutes to get IFR clearance filed with TEC routing, 5 minutes for clearance, and just now 10 minutes of waiting followed by a rage quit. I used to be able to call up ground and get a tec route clearance like I would in real life and be off the ground in less than 5 minutes. ...

Re: AeroFly FS 2

Thank you Keith. I am especially interested in using this sim because it apparently has "out of the box" oculus rift support. I haven't had time to install it yet but I will soon, maybe... The airplanes capabilities aren't really a big deal to me. The ability to track nav frequencies vor/i...

Re: 56PA today

I believe it was ZLA. I was given direct Julian 6000. Once I cleared the San Diego Class B area I started to wonder but never spoke up. I should have.

56PA today

56PA, I don't know who the controller was but I got turned to Julian and given 6000. 14:39 on the tape. I was curious as to whether I missed the 9000 or not. Had to look it up. I should have asked earlier as that would not be fun in real world and they do make those mistakes! Also, I'm starting to u...

AeroFly FS 2

The new Flight Simulator AeroFly Flight Simulator 2 's map area seems to fit very closely with Pilotedge's service area. Is this just a coincidence? Will this new simulator be able to access the Pilotedge environment in the near future?

Trouble with ONTN3 TEC route

From PDZ the routing is to fly the PDZ270 then fly the HHR LOC. Very doable except when I am at a lower altitude I am unable to pick up LOC from that distance out. Last time, I joined the LOC straight in using the GPS. Although the intercept was expected the way I did it wouldn't work without a GPS ...
