I'll give that a go and see how it ends up. Lots of info out there for getting into a hold but not obvious how to leave one if not given ATC instruction.Keith Smith wrote:practically speaking, I can't think of many situations where it will make much of a difference either way.

How to exit a hold thats part of a DP?
If I fly a hold that's part of a DP when is the correct time/location to exit it? I'm thinking you finish the inbound to the vor/fix and then continue on from there, but I had something happen to me this week that confuses me, should I just exit mid hold when I reach the altitude described in the DP...

Re: NO RESPONSE ON COMM RADIO
Interesting, I had a very similar experience on Friday. I have a fresh install of Windows 10 and X-Plane 11, having used PilotEdge for a couple of years but not on this new install which I only got completed a week ago. On Friday I had a heck of a time picking up a clearance. I performed the same CO...

Lol. Well, I didn't want anything too fancy but I was hoping for something I could at least read, which is not my handwriting!

N Number plugin?
Is there an X Plane Plugin or solution that will allow me to put my N number up on the screen somewhere?

Re: IFR Descent in non pressurized aircrafts
Skydivers descend at about 10,000fpm with no discomfort. The exception is if there is some sort of head cold or sinus issue.

Re: 46CA Approach best practices?
I don't know if it would work in X-Plane but in real world I would try less flaps and more slip! I will give it a go in XP and report back, fun.

Data Logger for X-Plane (prerelease)
For those analytical pilots out there you might be interested in a GPX data logger that we have developed for X Plane. Joe has done all the work and I just have the fun of testing it and coming up with requirements. Thanks Joe... https://github.com/jpoirier/DataLogger/releases It creates a GPX outpu...

Re: Contact departure/approach from Class D Airport on groun
It is my understanding that only an IFR current pilot can accept an IFR clearance, would be interested to hear otherwise.

Re: Help with using PE for real world training
I have been doing some remote flight instruction with a CFII using Smart Co Pilot and Skype. It really helped improve my calls and process. It also stopped a couple of bad habits I was developing before they became ingrained. If you PM me I can put you in touch with him. I can't wait to turn up at t...
