And now my 86CL (Ernst Field) has been approved, so that too should be in the next official release of X-Plane.
Like you, zengei, I'm taking a little airport-building break while I feed my obsession with KSP. I'll be back at it soon enough.

Re: X Plane Auto pilot
I'm pretty sure the default Cessna 172 has a working AP too. In fact, most planes for X-Plane have an autopilot; it's unusual to find one that does not. It helps to use the same autopilot hotkeys for every plane you fly. E.g., I've set up "CTL Space" as my engage/disengage toggle; I use &q...

Re: X-Plane Scenery Gateway
I've only had time to do one flight in KSP 1.0, but I was very impressed; it's come a long way since I last played a few months ago. Love the new aerodynamics. I might try your mod! Would it work with a yoke? Back on topic: two of my Gateway submissions have been approved! 1. KGCN - Grand Canyon Nat...

Re: Fixing VOR and LOC ranges
Ah, OK. Thanks for the info, zengei. And yes, I agree, we ought to be able to fix navaid stuff using WED. Oh well.

Re: Fixing VOR and LOC ranges
Could those of us who construct "Lego Brick" airports for the X-Plane Scenery Gateway help? I haven't tried yet, but can't we alter frequencies and such using WED?

Re: PRECISION FLYING CHALLENGE
Thanks for your reply. Oh wow, so it is MSL, not AGL. The chart does say "all altitudes are MSL unless stated otherwise," so I guess I should've divined that myself. And yes, I recall Keith's comments on MOAs in one of his workshops. I dimly recall that he might have fighter jets zipping a...

Re: PRECISION FLYING CHALLENGE
What a great idea! I will lose horribly, but I'll still participate. The only issue for me is that it's rather a long flight, at some 200-plus nm, and that will take a while in the aircraft I normally fly on PE -- a Piper Archer. Maybe I should live dangerously and bust out my Bonanza? Assuming I do...

Re: Two Peaware issues
Thanks for your reply. Next time I'll take your advice and try filing VFR more than twice. Later tonight I might try a short helicopter ride, and I'll see if I can get Peaware to log that. For what it's worth, the wind at Rancho was a mild 11 knots, so maybe my NOAA plugin is working okay. Perhaps t...
