Re: Missing PE
Congratulations! I'm almost there myself and it's great to read a bit of inspiration from others.

Re: Quality Payware C172 for X-Plane
I have both Jason's and the Carenado, plus 55 hours in 172N/172SP. Honestly, the differences between real world 172's of the same model has been as much or more than the handling characteristics that I've experienced with sim versions. There were definitely the ones sought after for rental, and othe...

Re: Ulimate traffic
It was causing problems for me initially when I first attempted to run the FSX client a while back. Uninstalled it and haven't tried it since.

Re: unable to acquire data from FSInfo
Ah hah! This was driving me nuts today! It failed to acquire data for me in both fullscreen and windowed, but I realized the culprit was having FSX paused. As soon as I un-paused it, SB was able to successfully connect. I didn't have to close SB to do this, only cancel the login attempt and try agai...
Re: fsx
Just out of curiosity, were you also running any add-ons with FSX or FS9? I was having issues with FSX crashing and found that uninstalling Ultimate Traffic resolved it.

Re: using WED
Yes, the USGS website is definitely a handy resource. If anyone is using a GIS application to work with the orthophotos, pretty much every state I've worked with has a GIS data clearinghouse that provides imagery and various informational layers that are sometimes even more informative and useful th...
Re: using WED
Somewhere I saw a handy little reference guide for all of the signage coding. It's been several months since I did any serious work using WED, so I'll see if I can't dig it up and send it to you. EDIT: Nevermind, I was remembering something from FSX airport creations. The WED manual provides all the...

Re: Adding airport layouts and signage
Couldn't we simply update the texture files with better ones? Also, I've done a bit of work in WED and would be happy to help. Honestly, I think it may be a good idea to start a new sticky for this, listing the known airports still requiring work. Shawn, Adam, or whomever can have mod rights to it a...

Re: request feedback on proposed feature
I don't believe I saw this mentioned, but what about designating a specific day/night of the week that is dedicated to having that instruction available, but not on the current focus flights? Scenario being: Keith or someone is acting as controller on the normal frequency, someone else to act as &qu...
