Re: Realworld vs. FSX Foreflight
I also use the free fltplan go. It is awesome and will connect to your iPad using Fsx/p3d or xplane. Settings are under Map-> Map Options

Re: Multi hop flight
I did download it. Honestly, a bit more involved than I wanted. Just wanted a quicky app that just did the basic fill your plane info stuff. Anyways, after programming for about a day I came up with something that suits me....programming relaxes me and passes some boring downtime at work. Of course,...

Multi hop flight
I tried searching on the fse board but can't find an answer to this; I have developed a small desktop app to query a city pair and return all the jobs within the same general direction of flight going to the destination airport. For instance, I want to go from 46CA to KVNY. My app goes out and tells...

Wow John....if you are giving stuff away, I'll take your pc12 that I have been flying lately....lol. Just kidding. I have to say that I have never belonged to a community like PE, And am loving every second! I especially love how all the twitch/fse guys support each other whether it's following on t...

Re: Flight Following
Keith, the costal route does make way more sense, thank you! Ryan, I didn't realize that flight following did not require me to adhere to Charlie or Delta airspace shelves. That is good to know...learning something new everyday...thanks I guess since I will do the costal route at 6500, I won't have ...

Flight Following
I am planning a flight following flight from KCRQ to KLPC @ 4500 ft (higher after clearing bravo). 2 questions: 1) My flight path takes me over the Santa Ana Class Charlie, and I will be briefly "nicking" the 5400ft shelf. I assume I can request a Class Charlie transition at current altitu...

"Offer to be a safety pilot for instrument students, too. That'll get you some time in the right seat." - this alone would be enough convincing for me to go out and get my PPL! Free rides in the right seat...sign me up!

Re: So I just got my Private Pilot Certificate...
Congrats. I am not a RW pilot, so I can only give you my personal opinion. The fact that you are already a PE flyer seems to be the best and cheapest way to remain current in your skills. Personally, FSEconomy is a great motivator to get in the sim, learn and have fun. Also, don't forget the Alphabe...
