This is a point. Thanks KeithKeith Smith wrote:If you're within 30nm of the airport and you haven't yet looked at the approach you're going to fly then that would be something to work on.

Preparing for I-3: it was fun (or not?)
Before fly I-3 I have decided to check myself on the reversal route, KBUR-KSNA. MyFlightRoute.com (for C172) gave us one TEC route only: V186 BAYJY V363 POXKU V8 SLI. Route looks awkward a bit with POXKU V8 SLI loop. "It's obligatory for separation with jets departing from KSNA" - I though...

Re: Permission for HDG change
It's the SLI R-120, not the OCN R-120. . It was one more mistake... The clearance is "heading 175, vectors V23..." rather than "heading 175, join V23..." I see the difference. So, the answer is that you stay on heading 175 until you receive a vector otherwise. There is a nearby ...

Permission for HDG change
We are flying from SNA to CRQ via V23 OCN. We have DPT clearance H175 V23 OCN DCT. After departure we fly HDG175 and waiting for intercepting R-120 OCN for joining V23. When we have OBS needle centered we still haven't permission from ATC for heading changing. What should we do in such case?

Have passed V3. Some questions
I passed V3 5 min ago. What can I say: it wasn't easy, taking into account that English isn't my native language. Nevertheless I have found some mistakes (my mistakes) and want to know about it. 1. I didn't reset squake to 1200 after exit LA Bravo Mini-Route, LA_TWR didn't say me do that (as far as ...
