Re: Traffic on G1000

Ah I see, I've tended to have that switched off in the past otherwise I just see a random B58 flying around near me

Traffic on G1000

When flying on Pilot Edge I'm aware of other traffic in my vicinity, but I never see it on the G1000 (I'm flying the TBM900 from Hotstart.

Is there some configuration I might be missing? Or something I have to switch on on the panel?

sharedcockpit.com

Hi folks, just thought I'd let you know about a new website I created, sharedcockpit.com - its completely free to use and I hope it helps people looking for shared cockpit flights to get together!

Departure runway

Hi folks,

When I'm sat on stand planning my departure, I like to brief the SID with my PNF, but we never know which runway we will be departing from until Ground give us taxi clearance.

With the absence of ATIS on PE, is there something I'm missing?

Many thanks

Phil (I-10 next, looks scary!)

I-06!

Just passed my I-06 rating. Departing LAX in a PA24 flying the SID manually whilst receiving full ATC has to be one of the most stressful flight sim experiences to date! Approach shots into KSNA after flying the full ILS approach procedure for 20R. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/23079576/FlyUK%...

Re: Clearance to push and start

Thanks Peter, that's helpful.

It also explains why, when I've flown out of KCVG, the tug just pushes us back just enough that the CRJ can turn around!

Clearance to push and start

Hi everyone,

Having done most of my flying in the UK I've noticed that there isn't the same need to call for push and start in America. Is it always true that the ramps are uncontrolled? Or does it vary by airport.

Can someone offer me some guidance?

Many thanks

Phil

Re: Prepar3D v3 Being Released

Hi Jon,

I put Global back on last night and I'm back to microstutters again. Almost wish I hadnt done it, I cant see a massive amount of difference in the visuals anymore.

Re: Prepar3D v3 Being Released

We've seen this in FSX, the solution for it is to run PE in administrator mode.
Thank you, I didn't think of trying that.

Re: Prepar3D v3 Being Released

For me the PE client worked in V3 without doing anything. I installed V3 next to an existing V2 installation and it just seems to work. The only odd thing being that when the PE client isn't the application in focus I can't transmit. It either isn't recognising the key stroke PTT button, or it isn't...
