Re: Re-Doing the I-Ratings
Keith, I will submit a request for option #2. It's been a few years since I did them so I'd really like to try again with a fresh-start perspective (and hopefully complete them this time).

Re-Doing the I-Ratings
I'm sure the answer to this exists somewhere but I couldn't find it. A couple of years ago I successfully completed about 2/3s of the I-Ratings. I want to do them again from the start but finish them this time. 1) Can I just retake an I-Rating I've already successfully completed? 2) Do I need to req...

KSJC ILS Question
The only ILS approach for the KSJC San Jose 30 runways has a speed restriction at KLIDE of 230K. Does this mean that aircraft that are not capable of 230K cannot fly the ILS approach?

KSMO Closing
I just read this. How incredibly sad. I spent most of my teenage years hanging around that airport and learning to fly.

What If the Sim Quits During a Test?
I'm sure this question has been asked before but going through a few pages of search results I couldn't find an answer. I'm going to do the I-05 test when I have a sufficient block of uninterrupted free time. Last night I thought I'd do a trial run offline (PilotEdge was not running). My sim (P3D 3....

Re: SID MEA Question
The steps you listed are correct ONLY if you've lost comms, and the MEA's are higher than the expected altitude. Otherwise, if expected alt is higher than MEA, you'd climb to the expected altitude after xx mins. The highest of (assigned, expected or published applies) Keith, my response to this wou...

SID MEA Question
I'm watching the IFR Workshop on departure procedures and I just want to make sure I understand the altitude requirements for a SID correctly I'm looking at the VNY2.DAG departure (the same one used in the I-05 test). If I was not otherwise assigned an altitude from the controller, is this correct: ...

Re: RW FAA d-TPP & IE11 / Windows 10?
Yes I know there are online sites available to download the information for free. However, I have found that once set up, the d-TPP search function is easier to see ALL of the procedure for a given airport. https://skyvector.com/airports It shows all of the procedures for a given airport all neatly...
