Re: X Plane 11

Hey Folks, relative newb to flight sims, compared to most of you. Last time I flew a real airplane I had to abort a landing around 200 meters from the runway when the instructor noticed the herd of deer grazing beside it. So it does happen, they just don't graze on the tarmac, true true true! :D On ...

HD Scenery Frame Rates

I am having a jigity jagity time trying to get high definition scenary on my 3 24 inch monitors. I noticed that adding monitors reduces the frame rate by about 8-10FPS each. I went to the store and the salesman convinced me that a newer NVIDIA would solve my issues but after trying it tonight, its r...

FSUIPC , CH Yoke and Pedals = wild flying

I spent a couple of hours this morning with the manual trying to assign the controls on my CH yoke and pedals to the programs. Are any of you happily using this combination? Does anyone know how to configure? I will beer you via Paypal if you can get me flying again. Ended up deleting the INI file a...

Re: Never again on PE - share your mistakes

Struggling with the CAT 10 a bit. Learning TONS at the expense of ATC though. Sorry folks. For added clarity,"Once you leave the Delta, you can change frequencies on your own." Just when do I know I have left the airspace. It says online: Class G -0 miles Class E - 0 miles Class D - 4 mile...

Re: Cat 8 test - lost in the weeds

OK - Now I am even more confused. The chart in the CAT test has the bearing and distance to the target. I have attached it and drew an arrow pointing at it. Soooo, the airports don't broadcast a beacon that tell you the direction and distance to it? Studying the charts I see that LAX has its own Vor...

Cat 8 test - lost in the weeds

Hey Folks, I am hoping to get some direction here since I nearly failed the CAT8 test today. I flew the supplied heading of 86 degrees for 75nm after take off. At least I thought I flew that far. I was using the 112.5 Fillmore Vortac as a Nav aid for distance and direction. I guess I descended from ...

Also - when I key the mike I get a TX, I also see the RX light up, but no audio.
When I tune to ATIS I hear audio.

Connecting with no error or ATC audio

Hello Folks, I had things working and flew a couple of times. Nice! I was really enjoying it. Then I rebooted my PC. I also installed the CH Controller software in an effort to assign the radio talk button to one of the many buttons available on my yoke. Now I connect and get silence. What h...

Re: Protcol Error

After installing SP1 and SP2, it started working! I thought the Accelerator did all that.

Very happy to report that I was able to fly from Oceana to San Luis Obispo and do some touch and goes without killing anyone!
All issues are resolved except my ability to fly. :D
