PE Rocks!
I’ve been on PE since before I started real world flight training. I learned to plan a cross country via the CAT ratings, and did the I ratings before starting IFR training. Even though I’m a NorCal pilot in real life, SoCal feels like my second back yard. Today I flew my family KSQL - KCMA, and the...

Re: No Radar Environment
I'd like to see what it's like to fly airways and approaches with normal position reporting.

Re: No Radar Environment
Sorry, I should have specified-- I only have the ZLA subscription. Would it work to just ask for a simulated radar failure when I call up clearance delivery?

No Radar Environment
I'd like to experience IFR flight in a non radar environment. Is there a good way to do this on PE? Should I just call up from a random airport and request simulated radar coverage loss?

Re: Receive Failure
Also, do the audio panel settings matter? I know that the A2A planes do things a bit differently in terms of setting LVars instead of using the standard sim variables.

Receive Failure
I just got back on PE. I'm running P3Dv3 on Windows 7 with an A2A Cherokee. I can transmit just fine, but can't receive. I was able to verify the transmit side using the PilotEdge Receiver. I've also verified that I can hear ATIS in the sim on the radio I'm trying to use. I'm not sure if that's rele...

Re: Never again on PE - share your mistakes
Good point about calling on Guard. That would have been a much more sure-fire way to re-establish comms, and would have allowed me to diagnose the failure more quickly. Regarding declaring an emergency and landing, I was worried about the risk given the heavily trafficked airspace I was in. In real ...

Re: Never again on PE - share your mistakes
I was flying the CAT-8 from Santa Barbara to Burbank in a 172 the other night. Most of the flight was uneventful, if a little stressful due to heavy traffic. On approach to Burbank I kept waiting for the handoff to tower. I dialed in the tower frequency on com 2 to be ready, but bumped com 1 in the ...

Re: XPlane Multi Monitor Crashes
Thanks for the responses! It's working perfectly now. It would be great if this setup were documented on https://www.pilotedge.net/pages/connect-xplane. I'm sure others would find it quite useful. The bit I was missing was the part about using multiple IPs. Just in case others want to learn from my ...

XPlane Multi Monitor Crashes
I've been having a blast flying on PilotEdge. Thanks for the awesome service! Sadly, I've had to reduce the quality of my setup in order to run PilotEdge. Any help figuring this out would be highly appreciated! Setup: XPlane 10.5 Ubuntu Linux 16.04 3 monitors running from the same machine. Separate ...
