Phraseology : leaving closed traffic?
Hello all, I was wondering what the correct phraseology was for requesting to leave the closed traffic & at what point should such call be made. For instance, say I decide to practice some touch & gos at San Luis, & decide after my 4th landing that I wish to head out south to Oceano or a...

+1 to what Mudhen said - in particular : On PilotEdge, they have the added detail of being concerned with your happiness and satisfaction while providing this service. Why? Because if you get dissatisfied, you might just terminate your subscription. Along the same lines of being "told off"...

Re: Plus/minus sign on planview
You might find this website useful - check the 'TPP Symbols' section : https://www.faa.gov/air_traffic/flight_ ... ero_guide/
The +/- symbol would appear to indicate 'Doubtful accuracy'

Re: Vectors to join a Victor airway
Do you use or have access to an autopilot on the aircraft(s) you fly? Typically, with the autopilot on, if you select the NAV mode, to track a specific VOR radial (which will place on the victor airway), the aircraft should maintain its previously assigned heading mode (HDG) until the radial is inte...

I also voted yes - although I have rather atypical simming schedule : 1100Z-0100Z Sunday, Monday & Tuesday usually.

Re: Checklists and realism in PE
I almost always go through the checklists, unless I am messing around and/or practicing a particular phase of flight offline. I usually fly on Xplane with the Airfoil Labs C172 and have recently acquired the C210 Centurion with the Reality Expansion Pack, which I am slowly learning to fly. Eventuall...

Re: X-Plane shared cockpit?
Hi Jeff!
You forgot to mention, what timezone are you on & when do you tend to fly? I am currently working my way through the CAT-ratings, mostly flying VFR but once I muster the courage (& knowledge more importantly) I would quite like to give IFR & shared cockpits a go.

Re: Drone Traffic Voice Recordings?
Although I do like the idea, I guess it has a few associated problems, such as stepping on other pilots & not being able to coordinate with said drones ; in such a case, how do you tell whether the traffic that just spoke is an actual human vs. a recording?
