What is “Thrust Bump” on the Airbus

There seems to be a little confusion among some streamers over “Thrust Bump” on the Airbus so I thought I would discuss what it is. On the earlier A320’s with the IAE A1 engines, they have thrust bump. The way you can identify these aircraft are the thrust bump buttons, which are guarded red buttons...

Re: P3D Client disconnect

I am also getting this message when I try to run the client update. "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. Jim

P3D Client disconnect

I have been having trouble with the new P3D client. It keeps disconnecting well into my flight. I get the following message. "[18:05:02] Network error: Connection failed: (10061) No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 206.222.16.186:5558". Thanks, Jim

Bleeds off takeoff procedure for the B-737

I have been asked by a pilot to explain the procedure for a bleeds off takeoff for the B-737, as I said I would from my hot weather procedure post. The first thing I want to explain is the difference between a bleeds off takeoff and a packs off takeoff. A bleeds off takeoff is when we takeoff with t...

PMDG 747

Anyone else having bug issues with this aircraft. Just had it shutdown for third time in a row on final on PilotEdge. Very frustrating! Going to the hanger till I figure out what is going on.

Trouble connecting to Pilot Edge with PA31

I have a PA 31 I would like to fly online with PilotEdge. When I try to connect it does not have the ICAO identifer like all my other aircraft. There is also no open field to enter in one manually so I am unable to connect. Is there anything I can do to get connected?
Thanks,
Jim

B-737 Hot weather operations engine start procedure.

This post is intended for B-737 simmers who like to follow real world procedures. Summer is fast approaching. We have already had days over 90 degrees in Phoenix where I live. When it gets to be 110+ degrees here the normal engine start procedure just doesn’t work By the time you get the packs back ...
