ATC instructed speed restriction cancellation

Something came up during the event that I hadn’t encountered before. I was being vectored out of KVCV and on a speed restriction of 120Kts (cruise speed 160 in my AC). ATC gave me an altitude change and vector to join an airway that was on my flight plan and instructed me to resume normal navigation...

Re: June 29 ZLA event

I was not expecting the VNY255 radial intercept (should I have?) with not a lot of time to get ready and I flew right past it while trying to set it up. Sometimes it takes me a little longer because I fly in VR and getting out charts can take more time. The other learning moment for me was when I wa...

Re: Realistic Sounding ATC...Reviving old topic

In another thread on this topic, Ty suggested use of VoiceMeeter Banana. I tried the scaled down version of it and it’s working great. I wanted to simulate the performance of a real aviation headset, so I’m feeding PE audio through one VoiceMeeter channel and EQ’ing it to be mostly midrange . It mak...

Re: How do controllers multitask on PE

Yeah, I have enough trouble keeping up with my one little self in my little plane, so I’m definitely in awe of you controllers. When I do hear a controller make a mistake, I feel a little bad calling them for a correction or asking for clarification, but one thing I’ve learned from PE is that if you...

Re: How (or if) to say no

I use both COM1 and COM2 all the time on PE. I’ve had a couple of problems, but Keith reset something on their end and all was well again. I find it useful to load up my radios with frequencies ahead of time, as you say, to reduce the load at busy times.

Re: PE plugin not compatible with VR

Although there are many features lacking in VR, I don’t see this as a problem. I always do some flight planning before I get into VR, but of course that may not fit your desired workflow. But if you simply want to connect and don’t need to update your aircraft type, you can simply toggle the mic but...

Re: PEaware did not log VFR flights

Yes, it is likely. I had to run take care of visitors and I logged off probably less than a minute after landing. But I thought it strange that I could review it soon after and later it was gone.

Re: PEaware did not log VFR flights

Yet another flight yesterday dropped from PEAware. I flew from KEUG to KPDX, then went to PEAWARE to look at the track. It was there. But this morning it was gone. That’s twice this has happened in the last month. I’m doing a tour of the Western Expansion and was hoping to aggregate all my tracks of...

Re: PEaware did not log VFR flights

I flew IFR from KSAC to KRNO yesterday and then looked at my data on PEAware. Now that flight is gone. Any ideas what happened? Can I get it back?
