I may be wrong but I believe the correct phraseology for this instruction should be, winds,runway,clearance, in that order, so for example... "American 291, the winds 350 at 5, runway three zero, cleared for takeoff" I think that provides more clarity. Maybe Keith or Peter could comment. D...

Just curious, what about legacy airlines and their callsigns? If we would like to use them should we ask that they be 'registered' as well? Examples would be... Pan American World Airways (Pan Am) PAA callsign "Clipper" Trans World Airlines TWA callsign "TWA" Eastern Airlines EAL...

That doesn't imply that you could not fly, for example, "Eastern Airlines" (EAL), on the network, does it?Keith Smith wrote:Any real world or active virtual airline is fine.

I know I've asked for a couple of minutes "off the flight deck" on occasion. It's always been graciously granted, just "report when back". Is that ok or would you prefer we disconnect and then reconnect when back.

Don't know if this is related but yesterday, for the first time in a long time, the PE client for FSX just quit on me with no error message, disconnecting me from PE and I didn't even know. I fly in full screen mode so I didn't see the window go away. I just had a suspicion because I didn't hear any...

Also the voice transmissions from controllers have been breaking up a bit making it hard to make out what's been said, just in the last couple of days.
