Re: Keith Please.....

Are these older recordings coming back online at some stage? There are a couple of classics I lost during a recent disk self-destruct, and cannot find on my backups, but I would love to keep a copy of, to prove we really do have clay feet :)

Is that because of the additional training/workload it would impose on the controllers. Changed taxiing requirements add to the enjoyment of the flight for me.

Re: feedback for next event

I am so going to oblige you when the next event comes around that I can make. Time to fire up that Piper Tomahawk and go for a leisurely "Sunday" flight... ;) I am salivating already. One other thing I thought of is how hopeless we are on PE with movements in the terminal area and taxiing...

Mate, with your sense of humour, you could almost pass as an Aussie. Roo is extremely healthy, no fat. We love it, especially on the BBQ. Oh, did I mention traffic.

Re: feedback for next event

My two cents worth: The format and the time of day, is not what is so important to me. I will be there no matter what, life's curved balls permiting. These events are just too good to miss. What I really get a kick out of is traffic, and more traffic. Oh, did I mention traffic. I know the controller...

Re: Birthday Bash! [recap]

And I'm 99.999341235% sure that PE management put a lot of thought into the announced "Departure Times" - working out how to get everyone into the San Fernando Valley (VNY/BUR area) at around the same time, be it in a Piper from SMX or a 747 from LAS. I loved that I was getting vectored t...

Re: Birthday Bash 2014 Scope video

Kim, I've heard your wonderfully distinct voice so much while on PE (and on the PE recordings), that my weirdo brain actually "read" this (in my mind) using your voice. I am being totally serious :!: Don't creep me out Cy. I've never thought there was anything unusual about my voice, unti...

Re: Birthday Bash 2014 Scope video

You did nothing wrong. I only mentioned it as an item of interest from a controlling perspective. I know that it's hard for you to maintain a solid connection and that things happen. I would've been disappointed if you had packed up the bat and ball and not come back...the events aren't the same wi...

Re: Birthday Bash 2014 Scope video

2) AUZ081 popped back on the network in mid flight near KOPLE, so the next 3-4 aircraft were vectored along a longer path to make a gap and maintain all of their spacing. That AUZ081is an absolute pain. Just because he looses the link across the Pacific, and knows it takes at least 3 full reconnect...

Re: [Oct 5 1800PDT] Birthday Bash!

I couldn't let the Birthday Bash pass into history without some comment. After speaking with a number of you, watching all the available video, and pouring over the stills, I think it has to have been about one of the best short term online events, right up there with WorldFlight, etc. It had everyt...
