Re: Cannot See Any Traffic With Lights On... Please Help

Hi Par, Yes, I have seen the shark fins many times, but this was at 5500-7500 feet at night. I went to Avalon Catalina in the daytime and found some helos then switched to night. I could see their outlines in my landing lights, but no white, green or red lights displayed. There were no beacon lights...

Cannot See Any Traffic With Lights On... Please Help

It has been a long time and quite a battle I am back to give it the old college try! Oddly, the only way I can get FS9 to work with the PE client in Win 8.1 is to set the "fs9.exe and "pilotedge_fs.exe" (which still shows up as "Flight Simulator X") to work is to set compati...

Re: FS9 PE Client Brings up FSX PE Client (Stuck until resol

Oops! I guess I jumped too soon. I reformatted my laptop and reinstalled FSX and PE client and was successfully able to connect to the Pilotedge network. I have not reinstalled FS9 yet, but if FSX keeps performing as well as it is now I probably won't. We'll see.
Thanks for the help.

Re: FS9 PE Client Brings up FSX PE Client (Stuck until resol

Care to unpack FYI - I cannot use FSX as it will not run on this brand new laptop. ? Poor performance? Crashing? Won't install? Hi Reece, My point was FS9 is the only platform I can use on my laptop or I would have "unpacked." I will need some help with FSX later. Right now I am focusing ...

Re: FS9 PE Client Brings up FSX PE Client (Stuck until resol

Hi Folks, Unfortunately, other things have prevented me from trying to fly PE, but now I am back. I went to go try it again and was stopped by the same issue I have been having. Please help me try to get my FS9 to work with PE. FYI - I cannot use FSX as it will not run on this brand new laptop. Than...

Re: FS9 PE Client Brings up FSX PE Client (Stuck until resol

Thanks Keith.

Okay then the next issue to be resolved is this message that pops up...

FSUIPC Connect Error

Confirm Flight Simulator is started.

...even when FS9 is running.

Re: Considering Track IR

That kinda defeats the point of using TIR... Not for me. Like I said, it's *my* method. I don't even think of freezing/unfreezing. It is second nature to push the button now. Keep in mind I also said to use TIR when it makes sense. Personally, I think the TIR folks are missing an opportunity. Given...

Re: Considering Track IR

Thanks for the advice, Calvin. Just to clarify: are you saying that it's good to be able to pause ("freeze"?) the TIR in order to make fine adjustments on small knobs, e.g. OBS, altimeter, etc.? If so, I was actually wondering how folks did that with a TIR - and now that you mention it, a...

Re: FS9 PE Client Brings up FSX PE Client (Stuck until resol

wmburns, Before we continue I would like to say "Thank you" for your astute assistance. Be advised I took it upon myself to perform the following earlier today... - Uninstall - Delete remnant folder "C:\Pilotedge" (Found nothing in AppData - Reboot - Reinstall - Test... Failed wi...

Re: Considering Track IR

The key to function and keeping good health is using the freeze function. Don't just leave your TIR on all the time. Teach yourself to unfreeze it when it makes sense refreeze when an outside view is of little use (read: flying at FL350). This way you will always have your instruments available and ...
