Re: International Call signs
Unfortunately, the regs that allow controllers to shorten callsigns only apply to US registrations, so they're supposed to say the whole thing every time ... I was not aware of that. I probably spend more time in US airspace, than in Canadian, and C F C P O is indeed the usual call from ATC, but no...

Re: Considering Track IR
Track IR is simply transforming. For what little they charge, it is the best performance enhancement for the bucks, of anything.
Just order it.

Re: Changing squawk codes - standby?
Bad idea. Once you go to standby, you disappear on the radar scope as a secondary target RW, that may also be the case on PE.
Just change the units and tens digits first. As long as they are not zero, you can't hit 75/76/7700.

Re: Altitude, Oxygen and Non-Pressurized "Safe Routes" Chart
Most other jurisdictions requre O2 to all on board, if >30 min at 10000, and immediately at 13000 and above. I never fly above 10k without O2, and don O2 at 8k at night, but I have O2 readily available, I typically cruise 12k/13k. Personally I think the FAA is too lax in this regard for Part 91 ops....
