Thanks Kevin, I didnt try 123.45 but I was looking at the map, I did have a few troubles connecting at first, so may have just been one of those things.

Generally yes, TWR will tell you how and where to enter the pattern, usually the leg most applicable to your present position

Thanks for taking the time to reply Keith :) No hurry on the account, its nearly 2:30am here haha. I definately see myself conducting a lot of flights within the area, given what I have read about the quality of ATC and volume of traffic. Will just have to hunt down some nice scenery Cheers Andrew
