Re: Any twitch.tv broadcasters?

I have been playing with twitch recently and am thinking of doing some live streams soon. My goal is to have my EFB Charts streaming alongside the sim. I use the iPad Foreflight app (geo-referenced) along with the GPS Simcable, but couldn't figure out if it is even possible to stream the iPad onto t...

Re: What Weather Program FSX?

I have been using REX (RealEnvironmentExtreme) since release. I love all the features and HD textures that are available. I had AS2012 and it does the same thing and models haze and fog better than REX did. However, REX Essential has fixed all that and added some other cool features like flight plan...

Re: NEMA GPS device for IPAD

Just got my cable from gpssimcable.com and flew a couple flights with it. I love the georeferenced charts working with the sim. I am using Foreflight HD Pro and FSX. I updated FSUIPC and added the line to the ini file. I am getting altitude readings via Foreflight, but no heading or groundspeed in t...

Re: why not ZOA?

1. Yes 2. No (trying to master the ZLA airspace first) I am still releatively new to PE and think it is great that you are trying to expand to meet with the customers demands, but I really don't see a need to have a huge area open to a small population. If I understand correctly, the purpose of PE i...

Re: Never again on PE - share your mistakes

AJ, just curious, was he telling you to turn right to proceed on course towards the airport direct? I only ask this because maybe he thought you would fly direct rather that fly via the PDZ radial...well, just checked the charts, looks like PDZ is pretty much direct from SNA. I probably would have m...

Be careful Vince, you might get hooked! The VFR and IFR challenge courses are tricky, but gets you thinking.

Re: ATC communications tutorial

Here is another excellent website for ATC/flying help. All of these interactive courses have helped me improve communications and understanding of airspace and clearances. The best thing is they are all FREE! Gotta love AOPA. http://www.aopa.org/asf/online_courses/ Know Before You Go: Navigating Tod...

Re: Saitek back lighting question

Probably a no brainer, but does he have the latest drivers from the Saitek site? I just bought the multi and switch panel and the disk they gave me had outdated drivers and a quick trip to the website gave me good up to date drivers which corrected a gear annunciation light issue and other tweaks. I...
