I-4 Extravaganza!

Just wanted to share my I-4 experience to my fellow pilots. After requesting a TEC destination for the I4 I was given SBD (San Bernardino Itnl.) from SNA. I thought, "Never been there, should be an adventure!". I then did the wrong thing and looked up the TEC route via the ZLA Tec Route Fi...

The reality xp gns was one of my best investments, storing and inverting flightplan is such a handy tool.

ATC Introductions

I see a thread for the pilot introductions, but I think an ATC introduction section would be nice too. Like background, location, what made you go into the field as a controller? I feel I have walked the yellow brick road long enough to see the men/women behind the curtain... lol.

Re: I Need a New Plane

Welocme! If you are looking for the perfect VFR/IFR platform with a single engine, than the Cessna 210 Centurion II is the way to go. That is if you are willing to spend the money. I haven't found a freeware version, but here is the link if you are interested, http://www.carenado.com/CarSite/Portal/...

Re: Frequency Cheat Sheets?

Thanks for all the tips! I love hearing that I am doing too much work. I am slowly learning the ropes and have built a ton of confidence in a short period of time. The training program is very helpful! Coming from VATSIM and strictly flying IFR seems easy in comparison to flying VFR in the LAX area,...

Frequency Cheat Sheets?

Just had a question about dep/app frequencies in regards to the TAC and sectional. I am new to PE and love it so far. I have been self educating myself on VFR procedures and ATC interactions with the help of PEs training program and the AOPAs online interactive courses(which I HIGHLY recommend). Sin...
