I'm just a dumb ATC but I believe you don't need DME in your plane to do this.

Agreed...well done PE team! I even forget there is an ATIS and sometimes have to scramble (or just pull the skyector METAR from the web site hehe)

Hi Dave....I've got the family situation too so I don't fly on here much anymore but I really try to dedicate the time to PE if I'm going to do it. Obviously if something really pressing comes up with my fam or my wife needs me right away I'll just advise the controller and disconnect. I'd recommend...

In my experience, in the sim... just using comm1 with the next frequency in standby, is the easiest. I guess I've never had an issue switching too slowly doing it that way. If you don't have a standby then I guess use comm 1 and 2. For instance while taxing I'd have tower in comm1 standby, and then ...
