Thanks will do. Strangely the mic did show signs of working the next time I tried 123.45 was echoing back, but I want to experiment me to see if its reliable.

New info. It seems I can hear as I got a radio transmission from CTAF near Oceana while on PilotEdge.
So the problem may just be with the mic, which would explain why 123.45 does replay my audio.
Note that recordings with other apps from this mic work okay.
