Re: Corrupted gauges or something?

When you use the "Delete Local Files" option in Steam, it will only delete files that it has created. Any plugins, scenery, or aircraft that you manually installed won't be removed. You'll have to browse to the install directory and remove them yourself. I think wmburns' method is better, ...

Re: 22 March 2100 EDT - Glider Fly-In

Looks like Tehachapi and Shoshone both have winds strong enough to support gliding,

Re: NVidia 970 running slow when VRAM approaches limit

Right. My problem is I don't want to lower the other rendering settings far enough that a 10+ drop is acceptable. That's why I'm going to do some experimenting to see what type of options need to be set to end up at 20+ with global shadows enabled.

Re: NVidia 970 running slow when VRAM approaches limit

I've been using a 970 for a few weeks now. I knew about the 3.5 GB max performance memory limit before buying, but decided that the $200 for the 980 wasn't worth it. So far, it is a definite improvement over my 760 2GB, but not quite as spectacular as I'd hoped. Shadows absolutely destroy the framer...

Re: World2Xplane Users?

Re: 46CA Approach best practices?

if you're determined to land on 10, I would keep the pattern inside the ridge in a small plane. Descending over the ridge like that is a really poor idea and I doubt anyone has done it in real life. The big planes are coming over the ridge because at the speeds necessary, the plane can't keep the ba...
