Thanks for that info, I definitely understand what you are saying as that is how I had mine earlier but had to lower it due to the height. But that position looks more attractive than just the side, I am going to have to try it soon!!
Cheers!!

Re: Post Your Cockpit
Colin, I have a L shaped table like you but use only one side of it with the keyboard tray holding my yoke. I will be most interesting in knowing how you mounted the CH Yoke in the corner, I use the same one. PM or here would be most appreciated...cheers!!

Re: Sending ATC audio to the headset
I actually got this working the other day, but seeing as how the speakers started working, I immediately disconnected and restarted everything again after resetting the playback device......thx for the tip, this certainly is a life-saver, I had to mute the engines to hear ATC and couldn't tell ...

Re: Opinion needed: focus fields?
+1 on the FF feature. With SOCAL's smattering of airports, it begs to qn which pair to fly in/out and that made the decision for me a lot easier. I know I haven't been a sincere follower of these fields, but I try my best to stay in range...if not for AIRLINE atleast for GA and instead of multiple f...

Re: Post Your Cockpit
Some peaces are from really airplanes (not flying anymore :-)): the glaresheild, the compass (not really working) and the watch. Ah...some bad landings I suppose  thx for the insight...I am just looking to hook up my GoFlight/Saitek THR/CH Yoke into a desk that will also put up with my my two ...

Re: Never again on PE - share your mistakes
That was before I contacted tower. I realized my mistake as soon as I tuned to his freq and heard his transmission, pulled up the default GPS to find the airport.

Re: Post Your Cockpit
Ian, did you put that together or was it by some company, I see VMAX/GoFlight/PFC not sure if it's a package. I gotta tell you, that's the best use of the Eee PC I've seen so far!!

Re: Never again on PE - share your mistakes
1: make sure there is enough runway, KSMO was to short for the take off run needed. Major lesson!! You should've seen the look on my face when Keith asked me if I was sure I wanted to fly out of KSMO in the CONC as I hadn't realized the rwy length till then  (but those are the days when 4 afte...

Re: [Sun, Nov 6] First post-launch event!
It was a blast flying with so many aircraft...my choice of acfts for the events ahem were interesting and I had to push them to their limits but 6nm behind a piper in a CONC was definitely fun, thx to the approach controller for some gr8 sequencing. I will be sure to return for these events. One thi...
