Hanging up my wings.... for now

Hi, fellas. It's been a while since I've been on Pilot Edge and now I'm afraid I'm finally having to hang up my flight sim wings (at least for now). A full time job and wife is one thing but now with an 8 year old boy, a 5 year old girl, and a 20 month old baby girl, all of my free time goes to them...

Re: Western US Expansion Launch: Dec 27

Congratulations, Keith (and the entire PE team). I know this has been something you have been working very hard to make happen and I am glad to see the day is finally here. PE is second to none and is truly one of the unique services in our hobby (and for many, their profession). I hope to some day ...

Re: Remote Coaching now available

I always dream of being able to get back into the sky after being away from it for 25 years. I can see this being a huge benefit if and when I can ever do that. Excellent idea Keith and the costs are quite reasonable. I didn't see it mentioned but what are acceptable aircraft choices for these cours...

Re: Let's talk about the PilotEdge Expansion!

Nigel,

Not meaning to speak for Keith, but from what I understand, the FAA has been a little slow in getting him the necessary data to get things going. So, until the feds decide to meet a deadline, Keith is somewhat at their mercy.

Re: Let's talk about the PilotEdge Expansion!

The FAA will be requiring each aircraft to have ADS-B In-and-Out to fly in the new coverage areas. https://curq6g.by3301.livefilestore.com/y3msfA67Mr-Cmd0wKXHeGkinAxWsdb_1HtvWjQdSQkXPp_kcaNjAd7UNVG-uK55AdOMymSmunZsFahDy8BsT3T8nepctbV-CFfm-pghsVMHPVIGuwA-s795JyLp0iKMfm9HB0XnNxksdzOWDVDYJPVMTa7AMG0OX...

Re: First Orbx SCA airport is on final

I am using P3Dv3, so perhaps there is a difference...perhaps not, I don't know. Every machine and sim setup is different. That being said, LA and San Diego are dense autogen areas with busy airports seemingly every 1-2 NM. I honestly don't watch FPS in P3D anymore as, in my experience at least, it d...

Re: First Orbx SCA airport is on final

Ryan, I don't have a top of the line machine at home and have good performance in P3D. LA and San Diego can certainly slow things down but I set my autogen to normal (which is plenty adequate) and be careful with road traffic and AI and do just fine. I did a shared cockpit flight in the Q400 out of ...

First Orbx SCA airport is on final

It appears acclaimed Orbx developer Misha Cajic will be the first out of the gate with a new SoCal airport, and if I am not mistaken, it is a favorite of a certain PE CEO.

Yup, and JV has started a thread for PilotEdge users to give input on what airports they would like to see developed. Kind gesture.
