Re: Question about failed I-2

"Vectors for V23" describes the heading you were given in the clearance. Unless you were explicitly instructed in the clearance or by the controller to intercept and join V23, you can't deviate from the 175 heading. "As filed" just means that the rest of your route, after V23, is...

Re: KSAN - KSNA TEC Route SANN4

The GPS database (popup rxpGNS430W) didn't have the PEBLE6, it had PEBLE4 so I had to program each waypoint manually . I may be confusing different issues, but isn't this actually illegal? Probably shouldn't be answering because I'm not 100% certain, but I'm pretty sure that only applies to RNAV pr...

Re: A Thin Line...

Huh, guess I'm the minority then. I don't have a problem with ATC being thorough and conscientious, but if pilots are constantly having to go through multiple transmissions to deliver a satisfactory readback, that's a danger in and of itself (the way I view it at least). Then there's the factor of a...

A Thin Line...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bY4JrFdCCnY Saw that on Youtube... I'd be interested to hear the general opinion on this, but I thought it was just a "tad" bit ridiculous. I can understand having pilots read back the runway assignment for a taxi instruction, but if "7000, 290 in five ...

Re: Filing tec routes.

Generally I just file the TEC - from most the SOCAL fields, there are departure instructions anyways. A RW pilot or controller can correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Fsx to xplane

Other than Jeff's and Adam's airports for the towered fields (I personally prefer most of Jeff's, though Adam basically fills out the rest - sorry!), Chris Smith has a thread somewhere with a dropbox link to some FSE fields. Glitter Gulch is payware, but it's an excellent rendition of LAS. MisterX6 ...

Re: LOST COMMS XPlane v 10.4 beta 9

Kyle, I'm actually not so sure about Gizmo - that was located at the very end of the log, right before XP shut down. Unless it was a XP crash, I doubt it was the cause. It's hard to troubleshoot from a Beta without removing all the plugins, so I would honestly just go back to .36 and wait for the of...
