Re: Non Towered IFR Void Time
Were you given a time to call with intentions if you weren't off by your void time? I would assume that if you hadn't contacted ATC by that time then the SAR service could be activated. Maybe to prevent the scenario either ask for a longer void time if you don't think it may be sufficient? According...

USAF AFF Academy in WUS Challenge
KAFF is another one of those tough to reach nonfriendly to civilian fields similar to what we had in the ZLA challenge. There are other options in UT that could replace KAFF. If I had to recommend one it would be U42 (South Valley Regional). It is in SLC and has an IAP and can be difficult to get in...

Re: IFR Minimum Vectoring Altitudes

Sounds like it may be an administrator issue. Have you checked that the PE software and FSX are being run as administrator?

Re: Newbie question regarding airport scenery
Compare what you're seeing out your virtual windows with what you're seeing on an airport diagram. If it doesn't match, stop and let ATC know. The controllers can't see what you're seeing and don't know unless you tell them. Throwing cash out there isn't required but know that FSX and its scenery ar...

It’s normal what you heard, on Pilotedge anyway. It’s not normal you didn’t get a reply. Check the installation instructions to be sure your audio device is setup correctly.

Re: Flight Following altitude restrictions
Most SoCal class C airports have pretty scripted procedures. The controller probably forgot to give the instructions to you.
