Re: X-Plane plugin v1.5.0 released

Any plans for a Mac release for 1.5.0? It was released at the same time as the PC and Linux build, all in the same distribution. Sorry, Keith. It was not so clear. If you look at the Download PilotEdge X-Plane page, you will see that it says: "PilotEdge.zip (351MB, v1.5.0 Windows, Jul 20, 2018...

Re: June 29 ZLA event

That 172 pilot was me. I was doing a 360 to avoid conflict with your extremely slow approach. First time my 172 has been to fast for other traffic. :-P) Funnily enough, PEAware shows my approach was at between around 100 kts to 85kts. on the short final. Aerobask's manual puts the approach speed as...

June 29 ZLA event

Great fun. I got going in the Panthera from Victorville, with a small line-up behind me. I was given a departure runway, at variance with the wind and ATIS, but no problem! My clearance was for a 250 heading, which was not the expected DP, and I was off and away. I filed for 10,000' but ended up at ...

Re: Realistic Sounding ATC...Reviving old topic

Again with the sound tinkering.......... That’s why most of the people here are proposing/advocating for a way to toggle it on and off. Yes, I got that, Kevin. However, I just felt that it was not a vital thing for PilotEdge's programmers or staff to be working on. I wonder just how many of the use...

Re: Realistic Sounding ATC...Reviving old topic

Again with the sound tinkering.......... This is a learning network. There are several active members for whom English is not their first language. They have not had to show English proficiency for a real life pilot's license. Even the native English speaking members, who are training, welcome clear...

Re: [Sat Jan 20] Salt Lake City Takeover: PHX, SFO or SEA to

Still not doing airliners (really should try!), so will do a shorter trip in a turbo-prop GA, and will aim to arrive at the appropriate time. Will probably use runway 35, as the GA area i ;) s alongside. Yes, if you're flying GA, you'll get 17/35. A quick note about start times...while we don't hav...

Re: [Sat Jan 20] Salt Lake City Takeover: PHX, SFO or SEA to

Mudhen. If you were using X-Plane, you may have experienced a problem with mis-dentification of the R35 localiser, where the correct frequency initially reads another localiser, giving you a completely erroneous CDI deflection! A bit further down the approach, the correct localiser is identified, an...

Re: Following Jerry W

Love Jerry W! I've already flown a few of his "missions" in X-Plane, and on PE! Also, I'm a Santa Barbara addict, as many of the controllers know. What do you have in mind? I also fly the Titan, from time to time, but any of the twins would be compatible - or a faster single.
