Re: Exercises in Airspace

Here is a good challenge to get you started. Fly from KCPM-L70 without talking to anyone.

Re: Mixture cutting off when running PE Client

As odd as it sounds, it's correct. Carenado seems to have an issue with their planes being used as 3D models other than when you are flying that particular plane. So there seems to be some code built in there to send a command to cut the mixture. It's definitely nothing on PE's end.

Re: Descend at Pilot's Discretion

Not required, but recommended. That said, if I issue a pilots discretion descent and I look at my scope and see a potential conflict up ahead, I will ask you to report leaving your cruise altitude. At that point it becomes an ATC instruction and therefore mandatory. I can then amend the descent inst...

Nope, it's perfectly fine. Just advise us that you're using custom weather and you're good to go.

Re: I9 - retired for now ?

Yes, go from 8 straight to 10. The 9 was retired because it required you to fly a jet. Not everyone flies jets, or wants to, so they decided to retire it.

Re: Realistic Sounding ATC...Reviving old topic

When you say volume cranked to max, where is the volume cranked exactly? With X-Plane (on most planes) you can actually use the radio volume knob in the plane, or you can go into the sound settings and crank the radio slider up there.

Re: Never again on PE - share your mistakes

In your IFR clearance you would have gotten "Climb via SID except maintain 4000". So, you meet that 3000 ft restriction at the SMO 154R, then continue your climb to 4000. I remember, because I worked you out of KLAX last night ;)
