To answer the question posed, yes your I-1 submission will be put in the next time I update the ratings page (Monday).

Re: VFR transition question

Seems to me this wouldn't preclude a transition above the ceiling, like in the case of a thin marine layer over the airport. I agree with this, you can fly above a ceiling with no restrictions. EDIT: Oh wait I see it beneath it reference the 1000 ft ceiling. What is the point of writing the first p...

Re: VFR transition question

This one is surprising straight forward: All from 91.155: (c) Except as provided in §91.157, no person may operate an aircraft beneath the ceiling under VFR within the lateral boundaries of controlled airspace designated to the surface for an airport when the ceiling is less than 1,000 feet. And (d)...

Re: Advice on approach into 46CA?

Ahh yes good ol 46CA. No reason for it to be the way it is that we've ever figured out.

Here is my technique (in a slightly larger airplane) ;)

Re: Distance/position reporting

Ded v. Dead. Ha, figured that may come up. :-) Always happy to defer to you Harold, but which one does the FAA use?
Ahh the eternal debate. You can find evidence to support both positions. I don't have a position on which is correct.

The FAA uses the term "Dead Reckoning".

Re: ATC Can't Hear Me. Tried All Forum Remedies.

No problem signing on to PE. However when tuned to the appropriate COM I can hear ATC but ATC can't hear me. The most common reason for this is that you are running P3D in administrator mode. If you are doing that you must also run PE in administrator mode, otherwise P3D "eats" the PTT bu...

Re: Freq For Following From Class E

Yup, don't overthink frequencies. Obviously use the A/FD (now the chart supplement...) to find one to start but don't worry if that's the "wrong" one.

As long as you get a hold of *someone* they will be able to get you to the right place.

Re: Sim Drop Protocol

The key to this one is the amount of time that a disconnect happened and if it was a sim crash vs just a PE disconnect For sim crashes if you have a save you should be allowed to reconnect and "resume" however ideally you should connect on the ground, ask permission to load your last save ...

Re: Distance/position reporting

There are differences between charts regarding the diameter of VOR roses. But of course the chart's legend usually provides a scale so it's easy to check wich diameter is used on the one you are looking at. Yup, however they are all standard on a given chart. So here is the handy conversion text to...

Re: Helicopter VFR transponder codes

In looking through this it just looks like a set of additional VFR Codes that are going to be used for certain helicopter operations not in contact with ATC.

Based on that we have no issues with you using these codes.
