Re: Flying Penguin Club

Hey! My name is Chris. I would like to join the Flying Penguins. My FSE name is SoTricky. I fly all the planes that you guys own except the Lancair. I am somewhat new to FSE but I have been flight simming for the past 2 years so I know what I am doing. I fly on both FSX and X-Plane 10. I hope that ...

Re: Flying Penguin Club

zengei,

If you're going to fly 1900D much, I can just lease it to you for the period you need it, and we can make an agreement that you'll pay to the group... let's say 15% from your net earnings with this plane. And no more complex calculations. Do you need it?

Re: Flying Penguin Club

As I said, though, it does make it very hard to work out the 'right' % for a group to take vs the pilots when the cost of executing a given flight is completely variable based on how many jobs are on the flight. Now I'm starting to understand what is the problem you're talking about. From current s...

Re: Flying Penguin Club

Is there any benefit to being in a group when you own your own plane? I personally don't have models to fly that your group has, but in fse I own a B407. Didn't know how it worked for the group if I flew it. If you're flying your own aircraft it's no sense being in group. Unless I'm missing somethi...

Re: Flying Penguin Club

For other X-Plane users I've made a quick scenery for L19 for the Scenery Gateway . Should be available for download once it gets moderator approval, and will probably ship in the version of X-Plane after 10.40. Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/lCfzl7Q.png Wow! That's great! Thanks. Will update the t...

Re: Flying Penguin Club

I'm actually a bit surprised pilots get paid out of the gross rather than the net. I intuitively thought of groups like a partnership, where partners would share in both the profit and losses. Same here. Not quite understand the FSE developers logic in this case. I have another set of 19 passengers...

Re: Flying Penguin Club

So if I read this correct.... I just lost money while being in the group even though I haven't flown for it yet? :o No, the flights you apparently did were not 'for group' and therefore no loss for us. Being a member of a group FSE doesn't mean all your flights are automatically 'for group' - you'r...
