Flight Sound X Dual Aviation headset adapter
I have recently purchased the Flight Sound X Dual aviation headset adapter. I am writing here because I have not seen a written review on this piece of hardware yet. I must say after plugging this unit in(one USB cable required and is included), it was a painless endeavour to get it up and running w...

Yep,Keith Smith wrote:You should link to the item on ebay, rather than the 'my selling' page. Nobody is going to be able to see the item except for you.
100% what Keith said. I see nothing.

Re: Hold read back?
I too heard that for the first time recently which brings me to another point. When the controller is asking you to stand-by. This is another instance where the pilot is to say nothing until the controller contacts you again. So many times I have heard the pilot say "standing by" - when he...

Re: KLAX arrival and departures
it has been discussed in the forums a few times. when I get to my hotel I'll try to find the threads and link to them. short version: I'm not comfortable having drones in airspace where comms with atc would be required. the solution is more live traffic at those fields. we are working on a project ...

Re: Quick Question
sorry i am really new to this, got it figured out but they keep asking what equipment I'm using?? :/ A quick search for Aviation equipment suffixes on Google brought up this. Might be some help...read the top sentence above the chart to answer your question about what controllers are asking you for...

Re: L B transition coastal route
Just ment Lima Bravo by LB. Which I think how the controllers refer to LAX Bravo. Correct me if I am wrong. I cannot correct you as I am unsure myself. I have always said "via the LAX Class Bravo". You may be right as everything is abbreviated... Maybe Keith or one of the controllers can ...

Re: L B transition coastal route
I did my first L B Airspace transition using coastal route on my 5th flight on PE. It was nerve wrecking but fulfilling experience. B58 as N205K Baron_58_1.jpeg Baron_58_3.jpeg Transitions are always unnerving at the best of time, but very fulfilling when you do them successfully. What I could not ...

Re: Future of VFR certs...
My thoughts, Setup the aircraft as much as you can with any information you can get your hands on before you speak to ATC. Radio freq used for the flight at hand, transponder on, flight control checks, Altimeter settings, weather(ATIS), best guess at active runway(hint - winds) fuel full, etc...doub...

Re: How soon to tower...
If one is flying a slow piston aircraft, like an Archer or C172, where would one do the runup? While holding short of the runway? On the ramp? If the ramp is okay, I'd prefer to do it there. I know big jets have to use runup areas at airports, but small craft presumably have more flexibility, since ...
