The simplest way is vfr with flight following. Simply ask for that from clearance at Lindbergh-easy

Re: Ran out of Gas - NEmergency

Interesting. Did someone custom fail the localizer for you? First I've heard of a notam being relevant in PE (other than the runway change at SNA).

I've had a few serious sim emergencies myself.

Re: I6 clarification question re ILS VOR RWY (vor only port

I haven't done the ratings in a long time but the approach plate gives the lower mins if you have two receivers OR DME. That's all that matters to go down lower in my view. So it looks like you can descend to 440 after dyers with 2 recivers or with DME if you're flying the localizer only approach. E...

Re: Pilotedge scenery xplane 11

Hi, I would HIGHLY recommend GPB500's donationware scenery.... almost all of it is in Socal. You basically get 10+ airports for 50 bucks Contact him at gpb500-x at yahoo dot com Not sure if these show up but a took some shots of a few of them: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/499272-airport-views/...

I find this to be qui...

Re: KVNY to 59L (helo pad downtown LA)

Ryan, I recently picked up the Desktop Aviator Garmin head unit, but prior to that, I just mapped CTRL up/down/left/right to manipulate the com1 stdby freq, and I have a button mapped on the joystick to flip the active/stdby freq. That desktop aviator would be cool! I know Saitek makes some hokey l...
