Re: I-05 Visual approach confusion
There's no reason for a fighter-style turn, it can all be done by the autopilot in HDG SEL and V/S mode and it's no more vigorous than normal flying (though you might need to dial in the turn in two stages to ensure it turns left rather than right). Cut the throttles whilst maintaining altitude and ...

Re: I-05 Visual approach confusion
Well, first thing to do is slow down. If you crossed IPUMY at 230k, you need to be getting much slower, say 180, so things happen slower, this would make everything much simpler later on. Once slow you can start a smart descent, say 2,000 fpm, still in a straight line. From your starting position, y...

Re: [P3D/FSX] MyTraffic 6 Model Matching Files
Hi Younghoon, You need to copy all the folders under [MyTraffic Installation Directory]\Aircraft and paste them inside [P3D/FSX Installation Directory]\SimObjects\Aircraft It should look something like this (ignore the P3D references, it's the same path): http://i.imgur.com/RzFCOgY.png As for files,...

Re: KLAS Departure in a Turboprop
Hi Kevin,
Thanks, thought it might just be SOP, my question was more, in the absence of specific local knowledge, is there anywhere I can actually see this sort of thing ahead of time or is it always a "suck it and see" type thing?
Cheers,
Jamie

KLAS Departure in a Turboprop
Hi, Yesterday I was going from KLAS to KSAN in a Dash-8 Q400, I filed BOACH6 TNP LYNDI4 at FL220. Upon requesting clearance, my DP was changed to MCCRN4, and then to a heading for vectors to LAS, with direct to GFS then TNP replacing the DP. When I questioned this, it was explained that turboprops a...

Re: A new 64 bit sim choice for all
Remember, there's two products. DG Flight School DG Flight Simulator, the former being constrained the latter being more like "Son of FSX". It's waaay to early to know whether they will be any good, but DG Flight Simulator is confirmed (via an official reply in the Steam FSX:SE forums) as ...

Re: Child spoiling things for other users
I was on at that point and have to say, the controller had the patience of a saint....
Whilst the kid was *trying* (unlike some I've heard), they clearly didn't have a clue.
