Re: Server Outage 01-11-2017, 0810PT

Minor clarification on this.

The "server" that you connect to is up so you can connect to the network, however the voice server that allows everyone to talk is not. We are actively working to resolve this.

Re: Approaches into KABQ with Outdated XPlane GPS data

Here is what the AIM has to say about the topic of database currency: AIM 1-1-18 (b) Database Requirements. The onboard navigation data must be current and appropriate for the region of intended operation and should include the navigation aids, waypoints, and relevant coded terminal airspace procedu...

Re: Looking for a little help

The most likely cause of this issue is running FSX/P3D in administrator mode. If you do this you must run the PE client in administrator mode as well. Give that a try and see if it helps fix the issue.

Re: Nellis closed?

Hello, It sounds like there was some confusion between you and the couple of controllers you interacted with. Here is how LSV, INS, and TNX work on PE. Like in the real world these are military only airports, your initial attempt today to fly out of Nellis was in a civilian aircraft which was why th...

Re: A2A C182 users and the IDENT button on VC panel

**Question for PE staff**
If it is not busy, can I request an "ident check" while on the ground? I don't want to get in the way but do want to troubleshoot this issue.
Yes, for enhanced realism I'd recommend doing it at an airport that has ground radar (KLAX, KSAN, KLAS, KSFO, or KSNA).

Re: ATIS freq doesn't work in my fs9

Is this a general problem, or a problem at a certain airport?

Some airports have had ATIS frequencies change since FS9 so the current "real world" frequency won't work in FS9, you have to look up the FS9 freq.

Re: Rating update

I've worked through the backlog of ratings and will be back to "business day" updates moving forward.
I'm curious what this means... does Peter fly for the Red Cross?
No, I volunteer with an incident management team for them. I've been down in NC for the last couple of weeks.

Re: Pep talk please...

I take this very seriously and I want to join PE but now questioning if I am ready. There is a learning curve for everything but how many mistakes can I make on PE. The ONLY reason I am on here is because of the amazing Keith Smith and his workshops (and his responses to my questions). I want to do...

Re: Ziggy5 to KEMT

Hello,

You are correct, the ZIGGY is a legal arrival into KEMT as it's listed on the chart. Also as you found it is used in the real world as well.

Can you let me know what time this happened so I can follow up with the controller involved?

Thanks.
