Who's planning on being part of SimVenture 2020?
I'll be there on Xplane using a rented FSEconomy plane. Not sure if I will be using the REP C172, C210 or SF260.

1st IFR lesson RL
So at 50 hours total logged and with getting my Private Pilot over a year ago at 40 hours, I decided to start working towards my IFR required flights. So I went up with an instructor to do 3 different approaches at 3 different airports before returning to the home airport for my 1st IFR lesson. I ha...

Re: [May 18 1600-1900 PDT] "Light Up" featuring PHX TRACON
Great time yesterday. I was robbed due to Covid from being able to rent a plane and fly when I was out in Sedona at the beginning of the month. Not complaining by any means as I was there for other reasons but none the less it would of been nice. So with this months event I was able to do that misse...

Re: Use of FSS
Fair enough but how does a pilot start dialog with a controller on it? I'm on 122.2 and want to close my IFR FP, I key the mic and say, "....? Because yesterday I just said, "Hawthorne Flight Services N2710U" expecting an acknowledgement to which I would just of stated I would like to...

Use of FSS
Went to close my IFR FP after landing at Catalina KAVX. Dialed up 122.20 and in my GTN750 it identifies that freq as Hawthorne. Look at the chart and it shows the closest FSS is Hawthorne and finally look at the airport info and it says Hawthorne. So when I got a controller on 122.2 he said to check...

Garmin Pilot 10 new FP features
https://youtu.be/utQXERhBf_s If you use Xplane and the Garmin Pilot App, there are some great new improvements to the App detailed in this video. I use the App over my network thanks to Xplane and its ability to do this so these are some very welcomed new features. Especially as I work on my I Rati...

Pre Hours VFR Ops
What are the chances of PE offering for a small monthly fee, Gnd and Twr only services for the 3 or 4 hours before normal operation? Could be even weekends only. It would allow for pilots who live East of the coverage areas the chance to enjoy doing a morning flight in local time before the day star...

Re: MSFS 2020
Glad to read from the pilotedge Instagram page that PE is looking forward to supporting this new platform. A slight change it seems from when this post was made. Seems a lot of developers got the feedback and feel they needed to move forward on support for this platform. A good thing for all.
