Re: Contact ATC when not flying on Pilot edge

I have a vague recollection that the PE plugin diverts input from the standard XP ATC and that you may need to disable the PE plugin in order to resume normal service. But I could be imagining this !

Re: Questions !

I'm a UK PilotEdge user and can vouch for the fact that everything that Keith has said is excellent advice. Skyvector is your best friend and the PE training material will explain a huge amount. Can't help with the scenery question I'm afraid as I'm an X-Plane user. However I can recommend KSBP as a...

Re: Help me pick my first payware - a single and a twin

Can you give an example of such a fix on the enroute chart? I'm strictly an amateur when it comes to this question, but I'll give it a go. How about V137 where there is a switchover at 30 nm from PSP and 63 nm from PMD ? I can't see any alternative means of establishing this fix other than by DR. I...

Re: Help me pick my first payware - a single and a twin

There is a stock 430 that could be replaced with the new 430 to provide DME, I suppose. Bear in mind, DME isn't required for IFR. Having come to the conclusion that there is definitely no DME in the Tiger, I examined the possibility of adding one in Plane-Maker myself. However, as with all complex ...

Re: Help me pick my first payware - a single and a twin

I will put in a mention for the vFlyteAir Grumman Tiger...it's a nice ride with a nice panel. I've flown it a bit recently and was quite happy with it. I got the Tiger recently and have found it to be noticeablyt less docile than, for example, the Carenado equivalents. Definitely an interesting rid...

Re: Camarillo Departure Procedure

Thanks Keith - I suspected that the answer would be something along those lines, but you can't be too careful !

Camarillo Departure Procedure

Hi I'm researching the TEC Route from Camarillo to Brackett Field (KCMA to KPOC). The initial waypoints are defined as Ventura R-044 and then GINNA. My question concerns how I am supposed to transition from the Camarillo departure procedure on to the Ventura 044 radial. The departure procedure is de...

Re: KSBP VOR-A Approach

Aha! So the 309 / 129 barb thingy is actually indicating the general nature of the procedure turn? I wondered if that might be the case, but obviously need to spend more study time on approach symbology.
Thanks

KSBP VOR-A Approach

Happy New Year to everybody ! I could use some help with interpreting the VOR-A approach for RWY 29 at San Luis Obispo. Basically I don't understand how I'm supposed to join the approach if I am coming from the South East i.e on V27. The approach plate only shows entry paths from the NW and no proce...
