Re: Jeff's X-Plane Scenery for SoCal and Beyond

You're right about the HD mesh. Those lines should be at the bottom, but your Global Airports line should be below all of your other custom scenery lines. I understand your desire to have something rather than nothing, but I prefer to have more credible scenery layout than some of the stuff I've see...

Re: Free Scenery for PilotEdge users

...but I'm pretty sure its not on my end. If you're referring to not being able to post a log.txt, you're right. I thought I had seen other log.txt files uploaded, but I'm getting the same error message you did. Hmmm…. sup with that, Keith? If you're referring to your scenery errors, the problem IS...

Re: Free Scenery for PilotEdge users

First, next time you attach your log.txt, just attach the actual log.txt right out of your X-Plane folder. You don't need to save it as a Word document. It's actually a little harder to read as a Word document. At least for me. How long ago did you download OpenSceneryX? You may need to download the...

Re: Corrupted gauges or something?

Another useful thing to remember is any time you are reporting a problem or issue with X-Plane, please ATTACH a copy of your log.txt. There may be something in there to tell us what is going on. X-Plane generates a log.txt file every time you start it up and it closes it when you close the X-Plane a...

Re: Jeff's X-Plane Scenery for SoCal and Beyond

Regardless whether there are exclusion zones or not, you do not want duplicate or competing scenery files. When you have two different custom scenery files for the same airport it causes X-Plane to run inefficiently and generally causes your frame rates to drop in those areas. The best thing to do i...

Re: Jeff's X-Plane Scenery for SoCal and Beyond

….Maybe it helps to ensure that "Global Airports" is one of the first items in one's "Custom Scenery" folder? If you want your custom scenery to be shown instead of the default global airports custom scenery, you need to make sure to move the Global Airports BELOW all your other...

Re: Jeff's X-Plane Scenery for SoCal and Beyond

Jeff thank you for your generosity and hard work in putting together a (free) "one-stop-shop" for SOCAL airports. I have a question regarding your suggestion to disable all lego brick airports by removing the "Global Airports" folder from the "Custom Scenery" folder. I...

Re: Unabbreviated clearance...

I've never seen a glider depart from a towered airport but my guess is that it would be handled as a formation flight.. I'll have to pay better attention next time this happens at KBZN. There's a Piper Pawnee that tows gliders out of Bozeman quite often. I've heard the calls, but I can't remember w...
