Re: Lost Comms
So the question on the lost COMM scenario is: When would you turn off heading to best maintain terrain sepearation. Would you maintain heading 110 up to the highest of the three.... "Minimum enroute altitude, Epected Altitude, assigned altitude?" Or turn a bit left to stay on v186 in the c...

Re: Lost Comms
This is a good topic, and would like to discuss the situation a bit more. I am a CFII and feel a bit embarrased to ask, but feel this is a common gray area (for me) and others. And would really like to understand from a controllers perspective the correct intention. Im going to give a similar cleara...

Re: Carenado 210 xplane9
also I have a Saitek switch panel and it turns the mags on, but will not turn them off??
The mag switch works in other aircraft?
the 3d panel mag switch works with mouse click
the mags are recognized in both directions by programming software from Saitek?
Any ideas

Re: Handflying Difficult Xplane 9
Would plane maker have adjustments that would effect the stability of the handflying characteristics in xplane? IE: id like to numb up the whole airplance so it flys hands off with more stability. Not going for realism, just need it to handfly stable enough to let go of yoke for 10 seconds at a time...

Carenado 210 xplane9
I find the 210 is awful difficult to handfly. At medium power setting level flight I run out of nose down trim. CG is normal. AP will max out the nose down trim and then will not be able to hold altitude. You can change airspeed to compensate but seems stupid. I find myself running out of trim when ...

Im using the sim for IFR profieicny. My previouis setup was laptop running msfs 2004 with a ch yoke and pilotedge. That setup was awesome and valuable for profieccny. The default C182 IFR panel was good enough and the flight charactorsitics were also good. The flight charcatoristics were good becaus...

I am a CFII and have also been into sims since a kid. I just recently stumbled upon pilot edge. I have always known sims are an invaluable tool for the IFR rating for instrument scan and procedures. I am talking about PC sims, and maybe BATD here. The level of professionalism and reliability is terr...
