Re: PE Virtual Airlines?
Count me in! Been looking at VA’s and ACAR systems yesterday and I’d prefer to stay ‘local’. Frankly I sometimes struggle with the time for a 90 minute flight so I don’t need somewhere where the norm is long haul. Tried FSE but it didn’t float my boat (or the equivalent aeronautical term). Don’t for...

Re: Several question from a possible newbie
That’s exactly why I hate VATSIM. Pilotedge just never does that and I flown on here for nearly 2 years now. I let others answer your first question although I would’ve thought the GTN 750 would deal with everything for you depending on which platform you fly on. The western expansion area is great ...

Encouragement to the Newbie
I’ve just been flying on the expansion area and a new user was struggling trying to file IFR. The controller wasn’t able to help much due to other traffic. I felt like reaching out with encouragement but kept silent of course. To any new members don’t give up, do watch a few YouTube videos and work ...

Re: Western US now has 26 towered fields and counting!
Spent a couple of hours yesterday flying VFR between KDEN,KAPA and KCOS. Great new locations and great ATC service (virtually 1 to 1). It’s a shame there is so little other traffic around.

Re: departure and arrival at KCOS
Hi Dean. You can contact centre on the ground or in the air if filing IFR. If your flying VFR you'd generally contact them in the air and request flight following. Normally, the first thing they'll do is give you a transponder code so they can track you. It's sometimes not obvious what frequency to ...

Recently - frequent P/E disconnects
I've used the network for 18 months and can't remember a disconnect. Last flight I had three sudden silences and today another one. Awkward when your VFR FF going headlong towards a Bravo transition! I'm using P3D V4. Is there a way to identify from a log why the system disconnected? It's awkward th...

Have you got auto save running on FSUIPC?
It won't help if your flying a busy approach but I've found it useful to get back in location within a minute or so when out at cruise level

Hi Keiyn
Suggest you spend some time on YouTube and search for tutorials for the Skyhawks and similar.
You'll get more than enough guidance there - make brief notes of the main points.
Also search for Checklists and print them out. I had mine laminated which really helps.
Cheers
