Ken:
Do you have a spreadsheet/data dump of the WUS 'hidden gems'? If so, I'd work on a new challenge maybe by state or Z-center

Re: Introduction: totally blind flight sim user
Frankly I am very fascinated with the technology and technique that must be employed to be able to fly in a sim blind. Furthermore the ambitious nature of using live ATC in general is daunting, I am very inspired by the notion that you want to take on this challenge. Same here. As a professional ge...

Re: Sportys Communication Cards
My wife's a graphic designer and has some good relationships with printers. Why don't I see what she can come up with on pricing? PE logo'd or not, something like the CRAFT page on MyFlightRoute but on paper might be of a benefit...

Re: Alphabet Challenge: WUS Edition
In the future, I may integrate all of the airports in the coverage area to support the "Hidden Gem" feature of the Western US Expansion . Where do I send the check? I love the CRAFT page to construct flights and miss it when I use hidden gems. Nothing like having all of the information in...

Re: Southern California Fly-In Club
Thanks Steve. I was fooled by the coverage map, which lists KPSP as a class C airport despite being class D. This tread makes it clear that the TRSA is treated as such by PE. Maybe I should go over the workshops! My mantra, but not necessarily policy is: fly PE like the real world. If a controller ...

Re: Southern California Fly-In Club
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think KTRM is below Palm Spring's TRSA (treated as class C airspace in PE), so we will need to be in contact with SoCal approach before we leave KTRM's airspace. From Peter Grey : "Palm Springs is special in that it has a Terminal Radar Service Area (TRSA) around ...

Re: ForeFlight integration with FSX! (Free)
Is there something like this I could use with X-Plane via my laptop? Currently I just have the charts open on my laptop next to me while I fly using the PC monitors. Works well enough for my level of flight, but doesn't provide live positioning etc. http://www.fltplan.com/fsx.htm Its free and has g...
Re: Coverage
BTW, I purchased the Western Expansion and it's been an amazing experience. You get enroute IFR plus VFR flight following from every airport out there. You can also call clearance on the ground and get it from non-towered airports so the only thing you're missing is the actual TRACON for non-covered...

Re: PSA: X-Plane is a total liar about VRAM usage
Nice catch. I think the "reported VRAM" usage in XP is from the texture settings. There's other factors like the raw Windows overhead plus any other loads on the card like encoding for the stream.
Thoughts?
