Stability

Post by Keith Smith »

v0.6.3b appears to have a stability issue on both platforms. After being connected in a high traffic environment (any drone-rich area) for a while, the system will sometimes crash to desktop.

A new release was made (0.6.5d) for Windows on Friday evening (2/18). The Mac version will be released on Monday.

Pilots are urged to upgrade to v0.6.5d as soon as possible and report any crashes here in this forum. Additionally, pilots are requested to review the VSPro.out file (in the X-Plane root directory) after each flight to look for the report of any errors (even without a crash to desktop).

Thank you.

I have evidence to believe that there is still a memory leak deep in the networking library. I'm working on this right now, it's completely independent of the X-Plane plugin itself (although it's ultimately bundled inside the plugin).

I'll post here when it's solved and will produce a new build of the plugin.

Found it and fixed it. I'll post a new build on Monday morning, if not before.

V0.6.6 posted for Windows, should fix that memory leak. Also fixes connections with no headset.

See v0.6.6 announcement thread for more info.
