Blame it on Google Earth. The maps are only as recent as the last satellite image of that area.

Does the new map have custom spawn points and any special treats?

Adam, the layout is more recent and the quality of the artwork is higher.

Airport Scenery KCRQ Palomar

Though designed mostly for the Pilot Edge community, these airports can be utilized by any and all X-Plane sim pilots. They are extremely frame friendly and utilize only native resources to X-Plane and resources provided in the minimal size custom scenery file. Their incredible accuracy to real life is based on the latest Google earth satellite imagery and up to date informational research. Comments are always welcome. Enjoy.

Should probably also be noted that these two airports were a combined effort of my brother, member name - Herbumus, and myself.

Nice work!

Crazy timing - I've been putting the finishing touches on my own KCRQ and was going to release it this weekend, and I've had KBFL in the works for a long time as well.

Our CRQs are pretty similar, though mine uses objects outside the stock X-Plane 10 assets. Choice is good though. Again, nice job.

EDIT: your Bakersfield is very good, I like the use and blending of photoscenery here and there, very nicely implemented. I might just cancel my own BFL development at this point.

Thanks Jeff!
My brother and I have been building mostly CA airports for awhile now, but we've never released any until now.
In the interest of builders, we'd love to see your work. Got a link?

I'm still wrapping up my Palomar file but you can see it soon along with the other airports I've put together in my "Jeff's X-Plane Scenery for SoCal and Beyond" thread, stickied here in the X-Plane subforum.
