Seeing traffic on ForeFlight

Post by hanan.moiseyev »

Hi,
I saw a post about editing an Ini file to see PE traffic in ForeFlight.
This file is now a BaK file so I am trying to get this right.

Is it possible to do? If so, how?

The page where you downloaded the plugin has a section specifically dedicated to this topic: http://www.pilotedge.net/pages/download-software-xplane

Search 'ForeFlight'.

Keith, that is great news for all the users of ForeFlight. Any chance this will work with Garmin Pilot? I use Garmin Pilot all the time with X-plane as it helps with RW training. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have no idea. It appears that Garmin Pilot replicated ForeFlight's protocol for GPS location and AHRS data (hence, it's compatible with X-Plane as a result), but I have no idea if it allows for traffic. You can try it and see but I wouldn't be hopeful.

Keith - do I enter two IP addresses if I'm using FF on both my iPad and my iPhone?

No, pick one or use a broadcast address instead of a targeted IP address (ie, change the last number to 255)

Keith - I was playing around with it before your reply and got both working using a comma and space as follows:

192.168.1.77, 192.168.1.74

Chip, are you talking about entering this into xplane or the ini file? I was referring to the latter for pilotedge traffic.
