That is very odd. There are no known issues regarding frame rates drops other than the issue with the VSProTrafficRelay.ini file. Could you post your PilotEdge_out.txt file after you connect and disconnect?

Based on that file output, for S&G I loaded the cirrus vision instead of the C172 and low and behold, no frame rate drop! Amazingly I didn't crash the cirrus, but I would prefer to use the C172. Any idea how to fix it?

Traffic relay file found....

That means it's trying to relay traffic to the ipad. Check your vspro resources folder for that file.

The next line under it says that it found the traffic relay file, so I don't see the problem there. Plus, like I also said, I loaded up the sim with the cirrus vision and it worked fine. Seems to have a problem with the cessna 172 with g1000?

You are misunderstanding. The issue is NOT that it can't find the traffic relay file. The issue is that it IS finding the relay file and is ATTEMPTING to send data to the IPad at the specified IP address. If the IPad has changed IP addresses or isn't powered up, then it's going to bring the sim to its knees. This is a common issue.

For now, keep the file named as .bak (not .ini) and verify via the log file that it is NOT sending traffic to the Ipad any more, then see what happens in terms of frame rate.

I have the EXACT same issue, and my log has no mention of the traffic relay file (I don't use a ForeFlight iPad for traffic).

When I load the Cirrus Jet in X-Plane 11, everything works perfectly. When the C172 is used, the frame rate drops after exactly 10 minutes, every single time. At first it drops to 15 FPS and later on it drops even further to something as low as 1 FPS, which makes the sim effectively unusable. If I leave everything untouched, the simulator eventually crashes.

After 10 minutes:

Is this forum monitored by PilotEdge staff?

I'm on my two week trial and because of the problem described above, this product is useless for me. Since it seems that I'm not the only one suffering from this issue, and it was first reported some time ago, I would at least have expected that there was a response from PilotEdge staff to this

Yes, a month ago, but didn't really offer a solution.

When PilotEdge is enabled and the standard X-Plane C172 G1000 is used, the simulator is unusable after 10 minutes. Frame rates drop to 1 FPS before it eventually crashes. Turning off PilotEdge, the problem goes away. Using any other airplane in X-Plane 11 works fine too. That was the exact problem that the other person had, and it has nothing to do with that traffic relay file
