Need help connecting XP11 to PilotEdge

Hi Keith (or whomever),

While I am a pilot, I am new to XP11 and PilotEdge. Pilot Workshops Getting Started with Simulation videos have been excellent in getting me started (GREAT!). I have followed all the recommendations, and XP11 is working nicely. Joined PilotEdge and got it downloaded and followed all of the instructions. However, when I got to Plugins, PilotEdge doesn't show up, just Plugin Admin. I've restarted things, checked to see if PilotEdge is the XPlane Plugins folder on the C drive (it is). Just can't get PIlotEdge to show up under XPlane Plugins on the top left of the screen when XPlane is running. HELP!

Other than this, I think XPlane is great, the Pilot Workshops are great so far, and I can't wait to fly PilotEdge! By the way, in real life I fly a 172 out of San Luis Obispo, often with a short hop over to Oceana or down to Santa Maria or up to Paso Robles. I am an astronomer and teach at nearby Cuesta College and California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly). Flying has been a hobby for many years. Current medical and biannual, but not current on instruments so want to use sim to help get ready for IPC and, perhaps, reinstate my long expired CFI and CFII.

Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers,

Russ (Genet)

I moved this to the X-Plane forum.

We solved this offline, he needed to install the Visual Studio 2010 C++ runtime library as shown on the download page.
