Have a look at this, please:
https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/f ... nt=1334958

especially the first post https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/f ... no-effect/

Which frequency would be appropriate to avoid disturbing anyone? 122.8?

Can someone help to check the FF A320 radios together using Skype or similar?

Both of those threads are not publicly viewable. What is the issue you're experiencing?

Ah, sorry, forgot that this thread is in the private forum.

My text in short:
Hi! Connected to Pilotedge I could switch off all three radios but was still hearing ATC.
Watch the unlisted video on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9i7t9cB_sQ) (also showing the COM1 & COM 2 datarefs at the top left).

In the video: All three radio management panels of the A320 are switched off but I'm still hearing voices (ATC from Pilotedge).
In addition I experienced cases, where I heard controllers from frequencies which were not set on any of the radios.
I'm not sure about the latter case. This is why I'm looking for somebody helping to check such things.

My idea:
Find someone else using Pilotedge to have a date, park our aircraft at a same place, launch Skype, and check the radios of the Flightfactor A320.
I would prepare some reasonable tests (who to dial what etc.) to go through so that any failure/ issue can be reported back to the developers in the private beta test forum.

The off switches you are selecting are only powering that Radio Management Panel (RMP). Even with these units powered down, radio transmissions are still being received by the radio transceivers, and then transmitted to the Audio Management Unit (AMU), and then on to the Audio Control Panels (ACP), and headset jacks, or loudspeakers. The RMP on/off switches are typically left in the ON position, unless there is a fault with that RMP.

In order to stop hearing ATC transmissions, you'll need to deselect the audio on the ACP.

As for hearing transmissions on frequencies that aren't selected, make sure to select VHF1, VHF2, and VHF3 (on any of the RMPs) and verify the frequencies tuned are not active ATC freqs. Try 123.45 on VHF1, 121.5 on VHF2, and 122.75 for VHF3. On PilotEdge you shouldn't hear any transmissions on these frequencies.

Scott,

Great post. Only correction that Guard (121.50) is routed to our Center controllers, so you will hear calls there (for now).
